It's a rock and it smells great, no way-- it's soap!
He will probably look at it and say, "What the heck is this?" Then you say, "Smell it! " and he does. "Holy Cow, what is this?" he says. It looks like a beautiful rock but it's soap--gooooood smelliing soap. Soap Rocks, made in Oneonto, NY are modeled after real raw semi precious stones and smell amazing. We also have some great "guy" exfoliating sponges as well.

Handcrafted wooden secret boxes

We have these neat handcrafted wooden boxes that come in all shapes and sizes. These make the perfect little forget me not. They can be used to store spare change, vitamins, and paperclips among many other things. We offer three different kinds of wood and with all those choices you are sure to find one that is just right.

He's gonna love it !!!!

1 packet of Country Home Creations Pizza Dip Mix
1 (10-count) package refrigerated biscuits
2 (8 oz. ea.) packages cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
Parmesan cheese for garnish

Preheat oven to 350 F. Place biscuits in pockets of a greased muffin tin (large sized) Press biscuits in flat. Mix softened cream cheese, Pizza Dip and Mozzarella cheese until well blended. Spoon approximately 2 tablespoons of cream cheese mixture on top of biscuits. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese evenly over biscuits for garnish. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until done.
*If mixture is too stiff, add 1 to 2 Tbls. milk

EASY, EASY FRUIT DIP

Farmers Markets are just starting to open up. The fruit trees in your backyard have bloomed and are we're starting to see little peaches and apples start spring forth. How about the easiest fruit dip ever. Country Home Creatioins has produced a fruit dip to give you more time in your day. Bill Campbell Pottery





                                     So many of you are familiar with or collectors of Bill Campbells beautiful potttery. For those not familiar, Bill and Kent are fishing buddies and have been friends for about 25 years. Bill's studio and shop are in Cambridge Springs, PA (outside of Erie). If you are in the area, it is well worth the time to stop by. His shop is amazing--truly a shoppers delight. For those not headed that way soon, we have vases, baking dishes and a nice selection of bowls. They are wonderful for wedding gifts because of their versitility, beauty and affordable price. Each piece has the Campbell signature and info card.

Grandmothers Buttons

Who dat makin' that fluer-de-lis jewelry? Grandmothers Buttons, of course right here in the great state of Louisiana--St Francisville to be exact. What a quaint little town. All the work is done in a century old bank building. If you like fleur-de-lis's (and who doesn't) we've got 'em. Necklaces, earrings, antique gold, silver, we have it all.

KACEY'S GARDEN

Kent went shopping at the Atlanta market and came up with some really fun container gardens. You can grow your own salsa, herbs, or flowers.

Everything comes in the package and they range in price from $8-11. What a terrific project for grandparents and grandkids, friends with limited space or those who don't like to "weed."

Kacey (our adorable, talented college girl in the gift shop) was inspired. She has decided to try her hand (or atleast her "green" thumb) at gardening and grow her own salsa. Each month we will check in until harvest time. Who knows, she may share her crop one Saturday. Stay tuned.

Birdie's Project

Early this morning Birdie and Fowler awoke to the sound of hammers and saws. You should have seen the feathers fly. Always thinking everything is for her, Birdie said, "Quick, Fowler. I think we are getting a new nest." Little did she know, Brad was putting a new porch on the office for --KENT!!! She did the only thing any self-respecting female would do.....she took over the project. She has been there all day to tell Brad every move to make. She is now affectionately known as Inspector 12.

Spring Chicken Cole Slaw
4 cups of shredded chicken
1 bag (16 ounces) coleslaw mix with carrots
8 medium green onions, chopped (1/2 cup)
1/4 cup pecan or olive oil
1/3 cup rice vinegar
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
Crisp chow main noodles, if desired

Mix chicken, coleslaw mix and green onions in Follette Pottery mixing bowl. Mix in remaining ingredients except chow mein noodles in small bowl. Toss chicken mixture. Sprinkle with chow mein noodles. Serves 6.

Crawfish pie, me-o, my-o

Spring is ready to be sprung and that means only one thing here in Louisiana-IT'S CRAWFISH TIME. Follette Pottery will be celebrating all month. We will have plenty of Libby's crawfish pottery, crawfish jelly and something crawfish to eat every Saturday in March. Bring your appetite. We will be serving our favorite crawfish receipes.

Pecan Turtles and Pralines

Your favorite chocolate treats are back!! This time they are Easter eggs. We have a fresh batch of 2 oz. chocolate turtle eggs and southern pralines just in time for Easter. We would love to tell you exactly how good they are, how creamy and chocolate-y with those perfectly roasted pecans and ooie-gooie caramel are, but that would spoil the surprise.

Losing your glasses is always a pain, especially if you are one of us who is optically challenged. We just received the perfect solution--- the Picasso Nose, or maybe the Muzeum cat or even the Fish.

Kent had a large order for Flambeaux wine goblets so he made some extra's. They are beautiful. The colors range from blues (right) to earth tones. He doesn't make them very often, so if you are contemplating relaxing on the deck or patio with your favorite vino, hurry on in. Our favorite weather will be here very soon. If it doesn't get here soon, you can always drink inside.

BASIC SPIRIT PEWTER

I have looked at this wonderful collection at market many times and this time was the charm. I ORDERED ! ! ! It arrived last week and is better than I even remembered. The measuring spoons are definitely my favorite. They come in fish, bug, twig and bird motifs and the hanger is included. Also included are pewter boxes with a fluer-de-lis' on the cover and --surprise--a pretty fleur-de-lis pendant tucked inside all for only $21.

Follette Loves to Take Care of Our PANDORA Customers

Thank you to all our valued Pandora customers.

We will begin our fourth year as Pandora dealers next month. We have met a lot of wonderful people during this time. We love Pandora as much as you do. Beginning in April or May we will become silver dealers. Silver dealers carry all the charms but also rings, earrinigs, and necklaces. Stay tuned. We are VERY excited about this.

At Follette Pottery we are interested in helping you take care of your Pandora bracelet. We suggest that in addition to washing your bracelet in soap and warm water once a week that you bring it to us and we will clean it for you in our steel shot tumbler at no charge. Pandora suggests cleaning your bracelet in a tumbler every 3-4 months.

When you come by the shop to have your bracelet cleaned ask us about the new catalogs with pictures of the latest charms and the "silver match". They just arrived last week.

These mismatched socks are knitted with love in Vermont by Marianne. “I found it exhilarating, designing a pair of socks that didn’t match and were knit in random patterns with multiple colors. I loved my finished socks!” Her colorful and complex patterns are knit in the USA at a family owned knitting mill, hand finished and mismatched. LITTLE GUYS

Over the years (about the last 20) we have carried Cindy Pacileo's Little Guys. She just gets better witih time. (notice I didn't say age, Cindy) We had birds in the fall, angels in the winter and now we have pets and "Birthday Guys" for spring.

In the Breeze
In the Breeze is a line of colorful, exciting windsocks, flags and ground spinners. Follette Pottery is officially declaring SPRING IN PEA RIDGE. Enough of this blah weather. It can be any temperature you want INSIDE !!!! We suggest these terrific garden spikes in your favorite inside planters. They can be moved outside anytime you are ready. Our good friend and fabulous scuptor - Don Drumm - teamed up with Cricket Forge to create these spikes that don't look anything like the things you find in the big box stores but at a very reasonable price.

Recipe:
"Cate Can't Stop That Loving Feeling Black Berry and Sticky Bun Ice Cream Bread"
I threw this recipe together for a New Year's Eve dinner party that I threw. It came out fantastic, which is what I love about the ice cream bread recipe, it's so easy to change and make something new and awesome.

1 Pint Ben and Jerry's Cinnamon Bun Ice Cream
1 1/2 Cup self rising flour

1 package frozen blackberries
1/2 cup white wine
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar

Mix defrosted ice cream and flour together. Pour into Follette Ice Cream Bread Dish. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

In medium saucepan, combine blackberries, wine, cinnamon, and sugar. Stir frequently over medium heat until warm and gooey.

Dump blackberry compote over icecream bread and add whip cream. Eat.

Fibrations were introduced to us by a dear friend, Deborah, at the Waygoose in Maryland. They are fiber necklaces that weigh NOTHING. The colors are fabulous, the length is just right, and this time of year who doesn't want something cozy around their neck. Another incredible find at $20 each. Don't hesitate on this one, they are going fast.

Karg Art Glass

Although Rolin Karg spent the first part of his career as an industrial engineer, photographer, potter and woodworker before becoming a full time glass artist in 1983, he has quickly gained notoriety for his contribution to the world of glass art. Using many layers of dichroic glass and bold colors, he crafts amazing works of art. We are proud to introduce his latest creations --dichroic glass pendants. Only Rollin could come up with these amazing colors, and hold on to your hat---they are priced at $25 each.

Little Guys
