Ask Libby

Dear Libby,
How do you choose the jewelry that you carry?
                                                                   Diamond N. Theruff
Dear Diamond,
So glad you asked. New jewelry is always my favorite addition to the store, but it is hard work buying it. We go to a hand made market in Philadelphia each year, and we have a vast array of one-of-a-kind designer jewelry to choose from. With over 500 jewelers to choose from we try to keep one philosophy in mind. No repeats. We may buy from the same jeweler several times, but we won't buy the same piece twice. This insures that you don't have to worry about you and your friend wearing the same earrings to a party.

The Follette Pottery 2006 Christmas Angel
Glow- With a year that saw much growth here in Louisiana, it only seems right to acknowledge the sense of hope and renewal that we at Follette Pottery feel. An angel is created each year with a special significance in mind. This year it was based on the fleur de lis and Kent named her "Glow" for that special smile the citizens of Louisiana now share.

Hot New Item
The Lazy Spoon- As seen on the Oprah show with Rachel Ray. This is a great wooden spoon with a slot in the side so that you can rest it on the side of whatever pot that you are using. This great spoon made by Jonathan Spoons is now available at Follette Pottery Store

Great Gift Ideas
These are some of our favorite items to give as gifts. We are sure that you will love them too

The Follette Pottery Bread and Oil Plate- at only $25 this plate made for dipping bread in oil and herb mixes is our #1 best seller.

95 Degrees and Sunny dicroic glass fingernail files. They are as useful as they are pretty and they start at $7.50.

The Follette Pottery Dip Chiller. Great for entertaining. Ice and water in the bottom bowl and your favorite dip in the top makes sure you don't have to worry about the dip getting warm.

Artistic Creations- Dicroic glass wine stoppers, these things are great when accompanied by a fine bottle of wine.

Flambeaux- Kent's latest adventure in the pottery world has produced the most beautiful pots imaginable. Each piece is a one of a kind work of art

Barbie Levy
We have been carrying Barb Wire jewelry by Barbie Levy since we opened the new store. We like her so much that we thought we would remind you. She makes really colorful earrings and necklaces that are sure to please everyone.

Pot of the Month
I love the fall, Thanksgiving especially, because this means sweet potato season to me. Nothing reminds me of growing up more than sweet potatoes. So for this month I want to shine some light on a pot that I think is sweet.
The oval baking dish is great for my sweet potato recipe that will follow, my sister’s green bean casserole that is in the Follette Pottery cookbook, your mom’s favorite casserole, or it’s a great size for cooking a chicken. But like always, don't let these few suggestions limit you in what you use it for.
Happy Turkey Day,
Andy
